1,000th Employer Signs up to Standard Life's SME Enrolment Proposition
OREANDA-NEWS. Standard Life, one of the UK's biggest workplace pension providers, has today signed up its 1,000th new employer to its Good to Go auto enrolment pension proposition.
Launched in December 2013, Good to Go enables quote, apply and set up in less than 6 minutes using a totally automated, paperless process. From the adviser hitting the apply button to Standard Life completing the scheme set up and issuing a confirmation email, the average processing time is now 46 seconds - compared to the industry norm of several weeks.
Since auto enrolment began two years ago, Standard Life has now helped more than 3,000 employers to set up Qualifying Workplace Pensions Schemes (QWPS) for their employees. The business now looks after more than 1.5 million UK workplace customers - almost 500,000 who joined through auto enrolment.
Graeme Bold, Standard Life Workplace Proposition Director, said: "Our experience of already helping our 2,000 existing employer clients through auto enrolment has prepared us well for the challenge of such a large number of new SMEs staging in a short period of time. Last year we boosted our systems capacity - increasing the number of new members we are able to join each day from 4,000 to 60,000. And our investment in technology has also enabled us to deliver scheme set up in under 6 minutes. We have worked hard to ensure the 500,000 employees who have so far joined through auto enrolment have a great experience."
