OREANDA-NEWS. Hyundai Motor plant in Russia for the first nine months of 2014 produced 172,800 vehicles, which is more by 3.3% compared to the same period of the last year. The production of Hyundai Solaris was 97,100 cars, KIA Rio - 75,700 units. According to the company, production growth in a difficult situation in the market has been made possible thanks to the strong demand for cars produced by the plant. Recall that in June of this year a new Hyundai Solaris appeared in the Russian market, which holds the leading position in sales of foreign brands.

The Russian market has traditionally been a priority for the plant "Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus." So in January-September of this year, the share of exports of cars was 11% of the total volume of the enterprise production. In the reporting period, the plant delivered to foreign markets 19,900 vehicles - it is more by 1.5% than the year before. The main export market in 2014 is still Kazakhstan.

In 2014, "Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus” plans to produce about 230,000 cars. The plant began commercial production in January of 2011 and it has so far produced more than 700,000 vehicles.
