OREANDA-NEWS. August was the ninth consecutive month where passenger traffic grew year-over-year at Denver International Airport (DIA). Overall passenger traffic at DIA increased in August by 2.2 percent, with 4,935,197 passengers using the airport in August 2014 compared to 4,827,942 passengers in August 2013.
Through the end of August, DIA has seen 35,939,772 passengers so far this year, an increase of 2.1 percent over the 35,183,343 passengers during the same timeframe last year. August's year-to-date total is 0.4 percent more than the same period in 2012, the busiest year on record.
