LOTOS Leads in Application of Advanced Communication Tools
OREANDA-NEWS. In the first ranking of the WIG 30 listed companies, drawn up by Investis LTD, an international consulting company, Grupa LOTOS came before competition and took the first place. Investis LTD reviewed communication as part of investor relations and corporate communication at public companies. In their opinion, Grupa LOTOS is the leader on the Polish market in terms of the multimedia application in communication with its stakeholders.
The experts who examined the companies probed their corporate websites, assessing such sections as information about the company, investor relations, media, corporate governance, social media, content, corporate social responsibility, careers, as well as the sites' usability. The goal was to check whether, and if so, to what extent, capital market leaders, that is the largest Polish companies, make use of the opportunities offered by websites and advanced online communication tools to ensure effective communication with investors and other stakeholders.
With the score of 49%, Grupa LOTOS ranked first in Poland. In the global ranking, which included 1,400 companies worldwide, the average score was 45%.

The authors of the ranking encourage Polish companies to follow the leaders in their ways of communicating with investors using such tools as websites, mobile applications, videos, online chats and debates. A lot needs to be done since very few Polish companies try to reach users of mobile devices (only nine companies have created mobile versions of their websites or use the responsive design technology to adapt site layout to a particular screen), and the use of social media is scarce. Grupa LOTOS offers a mobile version of its website and, additionally, two mobile applications: LOTOS and LOTOS Kids. The Company also runs three social media profiles: a corporate profile and two profiles dealing with sport and environmental matters. Another profile is to be launched soon.
The experts stress the importance of updating corporate websites and other communication channels by presenting current and useful information, as well as key indicators and data.
