OREANDA-NEWS. VNIIR Hydroelectric Automation signed a contract with RusHydro to retrofit Process Control Systems of hydraulic sets in Aushigerskaya HPP on turn-key basis.

In the frame of the contract VNIIR Hydroelectric Automation will deliver Process Control Systems and Relay Protection and Automation equipment and also will launch subsystems for control over hydraulic sets and auxiliary equipment in Aushigerskaya HPP. VNIIR Hydroelectric Automation is scheduled to launch RPA subsystems for HPP units.

Aushigerskaya HPP, located on the Cherek River in Kabardino-Balkaria, is a component of Nizhne-Chereksky HPP cascade, along with Kashkhatau HPP, with 60 MW capacity and average annual output of 228 million kWh.
