Rosneft Starts Construction of Oil Pipeline to Komsomolsk Refinery
OREANDA-NEWS. October 03, 2014. Rosneft has started implementation of the project on building an oil pipeline – offset from the East Siberia–Pacific Ocean trunk pipeline to the Komsomolsk refinery, situated in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
The path length of the construction is roughly 330 km, pipeline capacity will make 8 mt of oil per year, provided by means of 2 pump stations. The end of construction works is scheduled on Q4 of 2016.
According to tender results, the construction works will be conducted by Transstroymekhanizatsiya (LLC), providing cost efficiency of project realization. The enterprise has competences needed for construction of such complex objects.
The realization of Rosneft’s large-scale investment program on modernization of its refineries includes boosting the rated capacity of the Komsomolsk refinery up to 8 mt per year. At the moment most oil is delivered to the Komsomolsk refinery by railway transport. Due to construction of the pipeline, the stability of increased oil volumes supplies will be secured, probable deficit of rail tank car will be avoided and the expenses for oil transportation will be decreased sufficiently – by 12 billion rubles per year.
