OAO Sovcomflot became a finalist of the international Platts Global Energy Awards 2014 led by the prestigious American energy-oriented information agency Platts in the category “Industry Leadership”. The company gained nomination in the oil products transportation segment (Midstream).

Over 250 candidates from across the world took part in the competitive selection. Assessment criteria of the companies applying for the award are their operational and financial results, safety and quality indicators, application of innovative technologies, compliance with environmental requirements and standards.

The winners will be selected by an independent panel of judges comprising representatives of industry regulators, heads of large energy companies, leading scientists and experts.

The 2014 winners will be announced at 16-th annual Platts Global Energy Awards ceremony on December 11 in New York City.

American-based information agency Platts is the global leading provider of information on energy resources, products of petrochemistry, metallurgy and agriculture, being one of the key sources of benchmark price assessments in the mentioned markets. OAO Sovcomflot since 2006 is a regular participant and finalist of the Platts Global Energy Awards. In 2007, the company won the award in the category “Energy Transporter of the Year”. In 2009-2010, SCF was the finalist of the Platts Global Energy Awards in the category “Industry Leadership”.
