Jet Airways' Receives Government Approval for Appointment of CEO
OREANDA-NEWS. Jet Airways (India) Limited, India's premier international airline, has received approval from the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) for its appointment of Cramer Ball as the Company's Chief Executive Officer.
The 47 year old Australian national is a certified accountant and an accomplished airline executive with almost two decades of domestic, regional and international aviation experience, including roles at Etihad Airways, Gulf Air and Qantas. Most recently, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles, leading a major restructuring program that returned the national carrier to profitability.
Mr Ball was appointed as Chief Executive Officer (Designate) of Jet Airways (India) Limited in June 2014 and will lead an extensive three-year business plan to reshape the airline and secure its long-term future.
Commenting on Mr. Ball's appointment and subsequent approval by the Government as CEO, Mr. Naresh Goyal, Chairman, Jet Airways said, “We need a dynamic chief executive with in depth knowledge of and experience in the airline industry to lead us through the next phase of our development, which encompasses a bold three year business plan to return to profitability. Thus, I am delighted to have Cramer aboard at the helm of our new management team, as he possess the right credentials and all the requisite experience in airline management, and the skills required to take Jet Airways forward into a new growth paradigm.”
