Kazakhstan Participates in World Economic Forum
OREANDA-NEWS. October 02, 2014. The World Economic Forum to ensure the availability of resources for regional development has been held in Istanbul (Turkey). Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Dossayev headed the Kazakh delegation.
Issues of expansion public-private cooperation on major regional issues, including: energy as a key factor in the competitiveness of infrastructure, regional integration and trade, business development in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Eurasia, as well as the presidency of Turkey G20 were discussed in the framework of the forum.
Meeting within the World Economic Forum is an opportunity for interested countries to better understand and shape the national and regional transformation through involvement of key government officials, civil society and other business leaders making economic decisions. Speaking at the forum, Yerbolat Dossayev noted that the process of integration of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space of Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia are developing successfully and are a necessity for development of the economic potential facing the challenges of global economy.
Minister noted that the integration processes in the Eurasian space served as a strong incentive to increase the investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan, to increase the flow of foreign investment into manufacturing industry.
"It is necessary to use integration potential in the field of energy and transport to increase the competitiveness of exported Kazakh products, including to European countries," Minister said. For example, such infrastructure projects as highway "Western Europe - Western China" contribute to the growth of transport attraction and creation of transcontinental "bridges".
In general, the speech of Kazakh National Economy Minister Yerbolat Dossayev aimed at clarifying participation of our country in regional associations, as it is the foundation for further sustainable development, and the Republic of Kazakhstan requires expansion of markets and the space for trade and opening up new opportunities.
