Kazakhstan Presents Draft Law on Issues of Water Supp
OREANDA-NEWS. October 02, 2014. The draft law "On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan on issues of water supply and water discharge" has been presented in the Majilis of Kazakhstan.
The document was presented by Deputy Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Kairbek Uskebayev. The bill proposes amendments and additions to the Water Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Environmental Code, the Land Code, the laws "On State Property" and "On energy saving and energy efficiency."
In particular, the Land Code will include a regulation on the need of removal existing utilities beyond the allotted area at drawing up of an act of land choosing.
"In the course of daily operations, and especially in cases of necessity to eliminate accidents, an easy access to the networks of water supply and sanitation facilities is required. Transportation technology, the ability to conduct appropriate types of work should be provided," K. Uskebayev said.
"According to the Environmental Code, there is currently no clear understanding of what facilities ponds, evaporation ponds, biological ponds, filtration fields belong to. An addition being introduced will allow to relate these facilities to the facilities of biological wastewater treatment, Article 225," he added.
