OREANDA-NEWS. Petrol prices were last revised w.e.f 31st August'14 when selling price was reduced by Rs 1.50/litre (excluding state levies) resulting in Retail Selling Price at Delhi going down by Rs 1.82/litre (including VAT). This reduction was mainly on the back of a declining trend in international petrol prices.

Since last price change, petrol prices have continued to show a downward trend. However, the INR-USD exchange rate has been depreciating. The current levels of international oil prices and INR-USD exchange rate warrant a decrease in selling price of petrol in the domestic market. Thus a downward revision in selling price of petrol is being effected w.e.f midnight of 30th Sept /1st Oct'14. With this price revision, RSP at Delhi shall decrease by Rs 0.65/litre (including VAT), with corresponding decrease in other States.
