OREANDA-NEWS. October 01, 2014. Moldova’s anti-monopolistic policies scored 3.2 points of 7 possible in the Global Competitiveness Report 2014-2015.

Although the highest point was given to no one country, the results were rather high in Finland (5.6 points), the Netherlands (5.5), Qatar, Japan and New Zealand (5.4 each), UAE, Puerto Rico and Singapore (5.3 each), Belgium and Switzerland (5.2 each). On the opposite pole were Venezuela (2.3), Libya (2.1) and Angola (2).

Former USSR republics occupied the lower part of the ranking: Kazakhstan - the 94th (3.8), Russia – the 102nd (3.7), Armenia – the 105th (3.6), Kyrgyzstan – the 123rd (3.3), Georgia – 127 (3.3), Azerbaijan – 130 (3.2) and Ukraine – 136 (3). Moldova’s European neighbours Bulgaria and Romania ranked the 89th and the 122nd with 3.8 and 3.4 respectively.
