OREANDA-NEWS. October 01, 2014. The Kazakh-Russian consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers were held in Astana.

The Kazakh side was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Samat Ordabayev, and the Russian side by State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin.

During the meeting the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Kazakh-Russian cooperation in political, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian fields, and exchanged views on a wide range of international and regional issues.

Particular attention was paid to preparation of upcoming XI Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan on September 30, 2014 in Atyrau with participation of Presidents, as well as to analysis of performance of the Joint Action Plan for 2013-2015 approved by the two presidents in December 2012.

At the same time, issues of multilateral cooperation within the CIS, CSTO and EEU were considered.

The consultation participants exchanged views on preparation of the Treaty of Accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Eurasian Economic Union and the "Road map" on the accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the CES.

Deputy Foreign Minister stressed importance of timely implementation of the items provided by the Action Plan on cooperation between the foreign ministries of Russia and Kazakhstan for 2014.
