Harvard, MIT, Stanford Universities are leading the rankings.
 
The Worldwide Professional University Rankings are based on the number of students and employees, the level of teaching and research, the awards received by the university, management of the university, as well as local and international reputation of the university, informativeness and communicability of web publications.  The total of 500 universities were assessed. The assessment was carried out by the Council of Scientists composed of professors of universities from more than 40 countries.
 
TUT, established in 1918, is the only university of technology in Estonia, the uniqueness of which lies in the synergy between engineering, natural, exact, social and health sciences.  TUT’s mission is to support Estonian economy, business and industry. Over 60,000 people have graduated from TUT; at present 13,300 students are studying at TUT; the university has over 100 curricula. TUT collaborates with universities all over the world, including the world’s TOP 10 universities (Stanford, Berkeley, MIT, Harvard etc.). The TUT campus, which is situated on more than 50 ha, includes 72 buildings. In addition to eight faculties, IT College and Tallinn Science Park are situated here with the latter comprising more than 150 high-tech companies. TUT has separate colleges in Kuressaare, Tartu, Virumaa and Tallinn;   the newest college is the Estonian Maritime Academy. The students are offered superb student and cultural life; the accommodation and sporting facilities are one of the best in Northern Europe.
