FAS Opens Case against Russian Railways
OREANDA-NEWS. September 30, 2014. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) opened a case against “Russian Railways” OJSC upon elements of violating the antimonopoly law (Clauses 3 and 5 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”).
The main elements of the violation are as follows:
- Imposing disadvantageous conditions of the government contract upon the Federal Penitentiary Service for the services of special railway carriage: the conditions for calculating carriage charges at contractual rates for special railway carriage by a separate locomotive in the sections where there is no long-distance passenger transportation.
- Refusing to conclude a government contract with the Federal Penitentiary Service for special railway carriage at the rates established by No. 156-t/1 Order of the Federal Tariff Service of 27th July 2010.
The first hearing is scheduled on 3rd October 2014.
