OREANDA-NEWS. September 30, 2014. Kaluga Turbine Works OJSC (KTZ), a Power Machines company, and Omsk Carbon Mogilev (Republic of Belarus) signed a contract to supply two TG8,0/10,5P2,5/0,7 type steam turbogenerator sets (turbogenerators) with a rated capacity of 8 MW each.

A TG6,0/6,3P2,2/0,7 type steam turbogenerator set is a typical condensation-type, controlled process steam extraction turbine plant. The turbine sets are intended to operate at the TPP within the carbon black plant being built in Mogilev (Republic of Belarus). The turbine sets are scheduled to be supplied in August and September 2015.

Omsk Carbon Mogilev is a subsidiary of Omsktechuglerod (part of Omsk Carbon Group). The latter is one of the world's largest carbon black manufacturers and the largest manufacturer in Russia and the CIS countries.

KTZ OJSC has been cooperating with Omsktechuglerod for more than one year. In the course of the cooperation, Kaluga Turbine Works has already manufactured and supplied five turbine sets:  TP-1,8P2,3/0,6 type turbine drive – for the plant in Omsk, TG2,5/6,3-К1,5 type turbogenerator and three TG6,0/6,3P2,2/0,7 type turbogenerators – for the company’s plant in Volgograd.
