RUE Beltelecom conducts consistent activities to reduce the amount of spam mailing by making the sending of e-mails via SMTP protocol through port 25 of mail client forbidden. Daily monitoring shows that the amount of spam mailing has considerably decreased from June this year –from 34,000 mails per day to 2400.

The number of calls to the service center with the problem of ports 25 is low- less than 1% of subscribers.

RUE Beltelecom carries out activities on a regular basis aimed at improving the quality of customer service and preventing the situation when the access to the world Internet resources are blocked for our users. 

In case any  problems with sending e-mail messages should arise, users of email clients (Outlook Express, The Bat, Thunderbird, etc.), are recommended  to specify in the mailer settings secure version of the SMTP protocol (port 587 and 465) provided the mail server used supports the above mentioned ports.

The activities conducted by RUE Beltelecom do not affect the owners of mailboxes on the resources gmail.com, mail.ru, etc.
