Russian and Chinese Officials Showed Great Interest in SK MOST Group
OREANDA-NEWS. An International Fair AmurEkspoForum 2014 was held in Blagoveshchensk, the Amur Region. The SK MOST Group of Companies presented a project of the bridge across the Zeya River and a case for a bridge across the Amur River to China. Attention of a delegation of Russian and Chinese officials was mainly focused on these projects.
The opening ceremony was attended by Governor of the Amur Region Oleg Kozhemyako, Blagoveshchensk Mayor Aleksandr Kozlov, Deputy Governor of the Heilongjiang Province Sun Dongsheng, and Heihe Mayor Zhang Enlyan.
The delegation of Russian and Chinese officials was the first visitor of the AmurEkspoForum Fair. They spent most of the time reviewing the designs of the large-scale projects - the Amour River embankment reconstruction, a bridge across the Amur River and the bridge approach zone to service a planned bridge across the Amur River to China. The plans of the new bridges across the Amur and Zeya rivers were presented at the booth of the SK MOST Group of Companies.
A highway bridge across the Zeya River in Blagoveshchensk will be aligned with Gorky Street. Its total length with approaches will exceed 9,000 meters, and the bridge proper will be 1,933 meters long. The design of the new bridge across the Zeya River prepared by JSC USK MOST has already been approved by the reviewing bodies. Now, after the design has been approved, the commissioning schedule will depend only on funding.
The planned bridge across the Amur River is to connect the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk with the Chinese city of Heihe. The length of the bridge with the approaches on the Russian side will be of about 13 kilometers. Should the project be approved for implementation, the design work on the project could begin as early as this year.
The main subject of the Fair this year was the development of the border towns in the Russian Far East. The participants in the exhibition were representatives of the Russian and Chinese officials and businesspersons, scientific and expert community. The Fair was conducted this year in conjunction with a Partners' Economic and Trade Fair, which the Chinese side hosted in Heihe, on the opposite bank of the Amur River.
