OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2014. Multiple steel products of TISCO have passed the CE certification surveillance audit of TUV Rheinland, which indicates that these TISCO products have conformed to the EU standards on safety, health, environmental protection, and hygiene and consumer protection.

CE marking is the safety certification mark. No matter what kinds of products you want to market in the EU region, they must be labeled with CE mark to indicate the product conforms with the basic requirements of The New Approach to Technical Harmonization and Standardization issued by EU. This is the mandatory requirement in the EU law for the products. So CE mark is viewed as the “passport” for the manufacturers to open and enter the European markets.

CE certification involves a lot of directives. The steel products involve the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). TISCO was certified by PED and CPD (Construction Products Directive) for the first time respectively in 2004 and 2012 (in July 2013, the CPD was replaced by CPR).

In June, TUV Rheinland dispatched its specialists to audit TISCO’s quality system and make sampling check to TISCO’s products. In July, TISCO passed successfully the audit and received PED and CPR certification from TUV Rheinland. With the increasing number of the certified products, now TISCO’s PED certification covers 8 standards and 61 steel grades, its CPR certification covers 3 standards and 23 steel grades, which play an important role in the expanding of EU market.
