OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2014. In order to further modernization of production capacities of the “Almalik Mining and Smelting Complex” OJSC, introduction of state-of-the-art power-efficient technologies of copper manufacture, ensure rational energy resources consumption and ecologic situation improvement, the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures of implementation of the investment project on “Construction of the new melting furnace at the copper-smelting plant”. 

Within the framework of project implementation feasibility studies with capital investments to the total amount of 97.7 million USD have been designed on established manner.

On the outcomes of tendering contract between the “Almalik Mining and Smelting Complex” OJSC and German “Engineering Dobersek GmbH” for turnkey construction of new melting furnace to the total worth of 89.6 million USD, which also include supply of domestic manufactures products.     

New facility is to start of operation on September 2016.
