NIBULON-6 Tug Completes Mooring Trials
OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2014. Construction of NIBULON-6 tug of POSS-115 project started on December 5, 2013, on NIBULON’s birthday, will be finished soon.
At present the vessel’s readiness exceeds 94%, and the tug is being prepared for commencement of sea trials to be started after mooring trials.
And now work is in full swing. Shipbuilding progress achieved by NIBULON’s shipbuilders is for your attention.
1. Specialists of the shipyard’s mechanical area have completed testing of emergency and auxiliary diesel-generators, fuel separation system, CO2 system. There have been submitted for approval centring and assembly, namely shafting, rudder-propellers and main engines. There is being completed installation of fresh water and wash water systems in the living accommodations. Engineers specializing in the adjustment of Mitsubishi main engines and Berg propulsion complex are being waited for.
2. Connection of navigator console and panel plating are being finished in the pilot house.
3. Paint shop continues final painting of external decks and rudder-propellers room.
4. Alarm system and warning system are being adjusted.
5. Installation of panels, laying of tile in the toilets and auxiliary rooms are being completed in the living accommodations.
6. Deck gears have been approved: a system to lift navigation mast, a life-saving boat and a towing hook.
