OREANDA-NEWS. Blagoveshchensk Valves Plant (BVP Open Joint Stock Company, based in the Republic of Bashkortostan, part of United Metallurgical Company, OMK CJSC, Moscow) has confirmed the compliance of its pipeline fittings quality management system and production to the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute (API).

Representatives of this organization held a recertification audit at the factory. They reviewed the pipeline fittings design and production process and analyzed the compliance of the quality control. The auditors also studied the system of interaction with the suppliers and customers, and assessed the personnel's education and competence level.

Based on the results of the review, the auditors will recommend that the institute prolong the certificates of compliance with the API Q1 requirements and the factory's right to use the API monogram on items produced in compliance with the API 6D specification.

"API certificates confirm that the factory's products comply with high standards. This enables the factory to participate in large international tenders and to supply high quality pipeline fittings to the world market," said Alexander Kozhevnikov, BVP Managing Director.
