Appeal Court Did Not Support Rosrybolovstvo
OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2014. The 9th Arbitration Appeal pronounced legitimacy of the decision and determination of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) regarding the Federal Fishery Agency.
Earlier, on 17th February 2014 FAS found that Rosrybolovstvo violated Part 3 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.
The Agency transferred powers for allocating quotas for harvesting aquatic biological resources in the Atlantic part of the exclusive economic zone of the Morocco Kingdom to the companies – members of Russian Association of Fishery Managers.
FAS issued a determination to Rosrybolovstvo to stop competition-restricting actions and unfair procedures for quotas allocation. In its turn, the ruling of the Appeal Court confirmed the rightness of the antimonopoly body.
On 14th February 2013, the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Morocco Kingdom signed an Agreement on Cooperation in the field of deep-sea fishing, under which Morocco allows Russian fishing boats to catch small pelagic fish species (sardines, sardinella, mackerel, horse mackerel, anchovy) in the Atlantic fishing zone of Morocco.
