Sberbank Signs Cooperation Agreements with a Number of Russian Regions
OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2014. At International Investment Forum Sochi-2014 Sberbank of Russia has signed cooperation agreements with the Kurgan Region, Chuvash Republic, Zabaikalsky Region and the Oryol Region. Documents were signed by Herman Gref, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of Russia.
Cooperation agreements were also made between Sberbank Leasing CJSC and governments of the Kurgan and Yaroslavl Regions, and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region.
On behalf of Sberbank’s partners these agreements were signed by Alexey Kokorin, Governor of the Kurgan Region; Mikhail Ignatiev, Head of the Chuvash Republic; Konstantin Ilkovsky, Governor of the Zabaikalsky Region; Vadim Potomsky, Acting Head of the Government of the Oryol Region; Natalia Komarova, Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region-Yugra; and Sergey Yastrebov, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region.
The agreements determine areas of cooperation in the field of finance and credit in order to contribute to the social and economic development of the abovementioned regions. These areas include implementing investment projects, developing and supporting small and medium business, and carrying out infrastructure, residential construction, and housing and utilities restructuring programmes.
In addition, Sberbank and these regions intend to cooperate on realising programmes to provide government and municipal services online, developing the system for providing remote financial services to the population, and providing financial services to government agencies and state-funded organisations.
