OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2014. Mr. Elman Rustamov, CBA Governor met with graduates of the Bilasuvar Lyceum-School Complex named after Mubariz Ibrahimov, the National Hero, who were admitted to universities with high scores this academic year.

Mr. Elman Rustamov congratulated the leadership and graduates of the school on the achievements made and said that the socio-economic policy initiated by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev resulted in high growth in the country. Significant measures were taken for development of education; the normative legal base of education was improved, with a special attention to strengthening material technical base of schools, and the application of information and communication technologies in education significantly widened.

Mr. Elman Rustamov emphasized a particular role of the Lyceum as an exemplary educational institution in the region and in the country in creating highly competent human capital for socio-economic development of the country and added that special attention was paid to the preparation of highly educated citizens and development of professional teaching personnel in this school.

Mr. Elman Rustamov noted that the Lyceum graduates scored 565 on average in the last admission exams, maximum score being 682, and minimum score 333. These results are significantly higher compared to the academic year of 2011/2012 (average score 518.6, maximum score 666, and minimum score 271). Consequently, 28 graduates were admitted to tuition free universities, and 12 graduates to universities with tuition (Medical University – 9 graduates, Diplomatic Academy – 7 graduates, Baku State University – 5 graduates, State Economic University – 5 graduates, National Aviation Academy – 4 graduates, Academy of Public Administration – 2 graduates, University of Languages – 2 graduates, Police Academy – 2 graduates, Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations – 1 graduate, Customs Academy – 1 graduate, Pedagogical University – 1 graduate, Azerbaijan University – 1 graduate).

Mr. Elman Rustamov ended his speech with congratulations again to the graduates, who entered universities, and wished them success in their university studies.

At the end of the event graduates took the floor and expressed their gratitude for the CBA’s support to the Lyceum. The graduates assured that they would make tireless efforts to be successful in their future education as well.
