OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2014. According to the Department, the conclusion about the preservation of this prediction from the Ministry of economy was made after analyzing data from the National Bureau of statistics on the dynamics of GDP in the first half of 2014, according to which GDP grew by 3.9% up to 47.7 billion lei.

The experts note that Moldova's economy has entered a period of stabilization in 2014, and for all types of economic activity registered a moderate growth. The exports have grown, while imports slightly decreased. The Ministry noted that in the first months of 2014, according to most types of economic activity, some progress has been made.

A significant contribution to GDP growth was contributed by services, including domestic trade, transport and communication, construction, industry and agriculture. During this period, exports increased by 6.7% compared with the previous year. At the same time, the Ministry of economy notes that the difficult situation in Ukraine, the slowdown of the Russian economy and restrictions on the imports to Russia of wine and some agricultural goods from Moldova have a negative impact on the Moldovan economy through the export of Moldovan goods, money transfers and investments.

At the same time, the agency believes that currently the revision of the forecast annual GDP growth of 3.5 per cent set in the beginning of the year is not required.
