OREANDA-NEWS.  September 19, 2014. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the top managers of Deutsche Bank, Co-Chairman of the Management Board and the Group Executive Committee Mr. Jurgen Fitchen and Chief Executive Officer for Central and Eastern Europe Mr. Peter Tilles.

The guests expressed gratitude for providing support for the efforts of Deutsche Bank to promote cooperation with our country that had earned the reputation of a dependable and reliable business partner in the international arena. It was noted that effective partnership with Turkmenistan had enormous development prospects given its enormous economic and resource potential.

Emphasizing that Turkmenistan, which pursues the strategy of drastic reforms in key areas of the national economy, took consistent measures to promote broad international cooperation and adopt best international practices, including those of leading companies and financial institutions of the Federal Republic of Germany, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused with satisfaction on fruitful collaboration with the world's leading financial service provider. The Turkmen leader noted that ample opportunities to enhance Turkmen-German partnership existed today.

An exchange of views on the possibilities of building up bilateral relations in the framework of the ongoing programmes of reforms aimed at further social and economic progress of Turkmenistan took place during the meeting.

It was noted that a number of leading German companies, which partner with Deutsche Bank and specialize in a wide range of areas, sought to expand in the promising Turkmen market. The talks also focused on the participation of German investors in the implementation of ambitious projects in various sectors of Turkmen economy. The ways to promote cooperation in the financial and banking sector, education and personnel training were discussed during the meeting.
