OREANDA-NEWS. In the framework of Social Partnership Program PJSC "AZOVSTAL IRON & STEEL WORKS" (Metinvest Group) arranged an environment and occupational safety lecture room for students of Priazovsky State Technical University.

The lecture room, where future specialists of environmental management and occupational safety will gain the necessary knowledge, is furnished with interactive whiteboard and digital projector. Modern desks for students and chair with platform for teachers made the interior more academic. Cost of the project amounted to 320 thousand UAH.

At the opening ceremony, CEOs of PJSC "AZOVSTAL IRON & STEEL WORKS" and PJSC "ILYICH IRON & STEEL WORKS OF MARIUPOL" wished academic success to the students and noted that metallurgists would continue to develop material base of the university-partner.

- PJSC "AZOVSTAL IRON & STEEL WORKS" and PJSC "ILYICH IRON & STEEL WORKS OF MARIUPOL" (Metinvest Group) take their commitment to select seriously the specialists who plan to work at our enterprises. In the days of high technology and relentless competition, we are searching for highly qualified professionals who are able to work not only on modern equipment, but will have an understanding of development trends in the industry. We use our best endeavours to ensure training of future metallurgists, power engineers, transport and environmental specialists in accordance with up-to-date standards.

Yuri Zinchenko, Director General of PJSC "ILYICH IRON & STEEL WORKS OF MARIUPOL":
- Last year we launched a large-scale project at PJSC "ILYICH IRON & STEEL WORKS OF MARIUPOL" aimed at reconstruction of Sinter Plant that has no analogues in Ukraine. In the near future, almost the same large-scale modernization is expected at PJSC "AZOVSTAL IRON & STEEL WORKS". And therefore, in the coming years, we will need specialists of new level, who will be able to work on state-of-the-art high-tech equipment. For this purpose, we prepared this lecture room for students, in which they can receive the most advanced knowledge.

Vadim Boichenko, Director for Human Resources and Social Issues of PJSC "ILYICH IRON & STEEL WORKS OF MARIUPOL":
- I am pleased that such projects are being implemented in our city. Metinvest Group as a socially oriented company always extends special privilege to a solid relationship between production and higher education. Priazovsky State Technical University is a major source of manpower for Mariupol metallurgical plants, so we help to strengthen its training base. We are planning to arrange the same lecture rooms and further.

The lecturer room for environmental specialists will be opened soon in Mariupol State University.
