Israel to Share Experience in Resources Management with Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2014. Vice-premier, Minister of Infrastructure, Water and Regional Development of Israel Silvan Shalom said that to Moldova’s Premier Iurie Leanca in Chisinau. According to him, Israel’s authorities are ready to support Moldova in various fields, including the potable water supply and energy sources diversification.
As he said, Israel highly appreciates the relations with Moldova and is willing to share its best practices with our country, including those mentioned above. Iurie Leanca noted Israeli authorities managed to resolve the issue of ensuring access to water in the desert while people of Moldova, which has enough water resources, still lack potable water.
“That is why the Israeli experience in this field is very important for us. The perfect dialogue between Chisinau and Tel-Aviv has led to implementation of concrete projects”, Iurie Leanca said. The officials also discussed the Israeli achievements at diversifying energy sources and the opportunity of sharing this experience with Chisinau responsible bodies. The delegation of Israel has arrived in Moldova at an invitation of Moldova's Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman.
It includes several experts of Israeli water and energy resources agencies. They will render assistance to Moldovan authorities as members of inter-departmental groups to be established soon.
