OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2014. CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP Power) announced the results of its third GREEN PLUS Recognition Award programme and selected 63 businesses and organisations, out of 4,000 applicants, to receive STAR Awards for their outstanding energy saving performances throughout the year.

Since its launch in 2012, the award programme has received an overwhelming response with the number of applicants rising from 400 in the first year to 2,400 in 2013. This year, the number of
applications hit another record high of 4,000.

Participating organisations come from an increasingly diverse range of sectors, from small to medium enterprises and retail chain stores to new sectors including hotels, banks, public utility companies and universities, with a total of 15 categories this year.

Created as part of CLP Power’s ongoing efforts to promote energy efficiency in the business sector, the GREENPLUS Recognition Award programme not only encourages business customers to adopt green measures in their operations but also cultivates a sustainable and collaborative green culture in the community.
