OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2014. JSC "Moscow United Electric Grid Company" is continuing the scheduled work for the electric power losses reduction. In July of the current year, within the framework of action "Honest kilowatt", the power engineers of "Energouchet" branch, together with the employees of the electric grid branches, have carried out over 300 raids to detect cases of non-accounted and non-contractual electric power consumption.

Work result of MOESK specialists have become 170 acts about the electric power consumption with the metering rules violation. The scope of the non-accounted consumption, according to the acts, has exceeded 11 mln. kWh. The unfair consumers have been presented with bills for the consumed non-accounted electric power, at 8.6 mln. kWh.

On the facts of the revealed non-contractual electric power consumption, 225 acts were drawn up in July of the current year, according to which the scope of the non-contractual consumption had amounted to 12.4 mln. kWh, the cost exceeded RUR 67 mln. In July JSC "MOESK" got RUR 16.6 mln against the indebtedness payment for the electric power consumed earlier without a power supply contract.

For seven months, which have passed from the current year beginning, the scope of the revealed non-accounted electricity consumption has amounted to 170.1 mln. kWh.

79 mln. kWh have been included in the productive supply. The scope of the non-contractual consumption has amounted to 171 mln. kWh with the cost of RUR 880 mln. JSC "MOESK" got over RUR 158 mln against payment of the non-contractual electric power consumer earlier.

Specialists of MOESK keep reminding the citizens that the bills for the consumed electric power are to be paid timely (especially it concerns the electric power consumption with the metering rules violation, as well as without a contract conclusion with a selling organization).

Action "Honest kilowatt" is aimed not only at the losses reducing when transporting the electric power through the grids of MOESK, but as well at informing of the population of hazard and extremely high price of the self-willed electricity consumption.

As a result of an unauthorized interference with the function of the electric grid, the power supply quality of the consumers connected whereto is reduced. There is a frequent lack of the capacity even for the functioning of the traditional electrical appliances, besides that the probability of the fires occurrence increases.

Specialists of MOESK pay a special attention of the citizens to a hazard of unauthorized works at the energy facilities, both for the very violators and for the third parties. Power-engineers - amateurs violate grossly the safety rules. The professionals perform all the works with the help of the special appliances, in special clothing, as well as at a de-energized power transmission line. As for those people who like "free of charge" electricity, in order to make throwing on, they neglect all the safety requirements and climb the poles of the functional line, without necessary instruments and outfit. Carelessly hanging in the air or going on the earth wires, left by a violator, may also bring about a tragedy. Accidental street walkers may get a serious electric trauma - they don't even suspect that their life is in danger.

JSC "MOESK" reminds that the authorized consumption of electric power is ten times cheaper and safer, than any attempts of self-willed interference with the function of electric grids and "free of charge" electric power consumption.
