OREANDA-NEWS. The Apatitskaya CHPP of JSC TGC-1 - the sole supplier of heat in Apatity and Kirovsk of the Murmansk Oblast - has switched to winter operating mode.

During the summer period a large-scale repair programme was implemented at the Apatitskaya CHPP: repairs of the main equipment and chimneys, washing of the CHPP accumulator tanks and cleaning of the duct works was carried out. 100 m of railroad tracks for the transportation of fuel were renovated. Power engineers replaced 500 meters of worn sections of the main heating grids.

"From September 1 the Apatitskaya CHPP switched to the periodic heating mode: CHPP experts together with the managing companies have eliminated the problems with connecting rows of houses - airing and damage of the internal engineering systems of the building," said Alexander Sobakin, the Director of the Apatitskaya CHPP. "The equipment of the plant is now set to the operating parameters, corresponding to the heating and hot water supply mode. Virtually all Apatity and Kirovsk facilities are connected to heat supply. Control of the quality indicators of the hot water supplied to the citizens is carried out daily. All heat conductor parameters correspond to standards.
