Dixy Group Demonstrates 31.7% Retail Revenue Growth in August 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. DIXY Group (MOEX: DIXY) - one of Russia's leading retailers of foods and everyday products -today announced retail revenue growth of 31.7% in Russian rubles in August 2014, and retail revenue growth of 25.0% in Russian rubles for the first eight months of 2014.
For the first eight months of 2014, DIXY Group retail revenue increased to RUR 145.2 bin (USD 4.1 bin) by 25.0% in RUR (12.2% in USD) year-on-year.
In August 2014, DIXY Group retail revenue increased to RUR 19.4 bin (USD 536.0 mln) by 31.7% in RUR (20.4% in USD) year-on-year.
Retail revenue of DIXY neighborhood stores increased to RUR 15.5 bin (USD 430.3 mln) by 38.0% in RUR (26.1% in USD) in August 2014 compared to August 2013.
Retail revenue of Victoria Division increased to RUR 2.4 bln (USD 67.5 mln) by 14.4% in RUR (4.6% in USD) year-on-year in August 2014. The growth was driven mainly by retail revenue from Victoria supermarkets which demonstrated 16.6% year-on-year growth in RUR (6.6% in USD) and amounted to RUR 1.9 bln (USD 53.9 mln) in August 2014.
Retail revenue of Megamart Division increased to RUR 1.4 bln (USD 38.2 mln) by 5.6% in RUR
(decreased by 3.4% in USD) year-on-year in August 2014.
For the first eight months of 2014, the Company opened 203 stores net, including 37 store openings net in
August 2014.
As of 31 August 2014, the Group had 2,002 stores under operation, including 1,880 DIXY neighborhood stores, 89 Victoria stores, 1 CASH store, and 32 compact hypermarkets MegaMart and MiniMart.
As of 31 August 2014, the Group increased its space by 20% year-on-year to 677,010 square meters.

Starting from the 1st of November 2013, the opening hours of a major part of DIXY stores were reduced, in the course of stores' working time optimization. As a result, the time of operation of DIXY stores was 6.5% less in August 2014 compared to August 2013.
