OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2014. CLT‘s passenger traffic remains on the rise, jumping 2.8 percent from 25,281,884 fliers January - July 2013 to 25,982,778 through July 2014.
  
Passengers flying abroad contributed to that growth, climbing 5.7 percent from 1,783,168 travelers (January – July 2013) to 1,885,440 (January – July 2014).
   
Cargo numbers also saw an upswing, bouncing 3.6 percent from 74,819 tons during the first seven months of 2013 to 77,518 tons in 2014.
 
Operations continued experiencing a slight decrease due to American Airlines’, who operates more than 90 percent of CLT flights, realignment of operations. Aircraft movements dipped 3.2 percent from 327,205 landings and departures (January – July 2013) to 316,881 through July 2014.
