Kazakhstan Presents Draft Law "On Information"
OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2014. The draft Law "On Information" in new edition has been presented in Majilis.
"The objectives of the bill are: formation of the legal framework of "electronic government"
architecture; government support for market development of information and communication technologies; openness of state structure for business and population; creating conditions for transition to information society and improvement of legal regulation of information security," Deputy Minister for Investment and Development Askar Zhumagaliyev said.
According to Deputy Minister, the bill aims to introduce a service model for informatization of te legal framework of "electronic government" and will create opportunities for transition to information and communication platform "G-Cloud".
A. Zhumagaliyev noted that development of information and communication industry requires a continuous improvement of legal framework, and the current Law "On Information", adopted in 2006, has already served its purpose. The new bill is intended to implement positive trends of the world practice in Kazakhstan.
