OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2014. Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, who stays in Ukraine for a visit.

The Prime Minister congratulated the willingness of the European Parliament to ratify the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union simultaneously with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on September 16.

According to Martin Schulz, now they consider a possibility of organizing a video conference between Strasbourg and Kyiv to ensure simultaneous voting procedure of MPs.

The Head of Ukrainian Government also discussed with the President of the European Parliament's the current security situation in Ukraine. "We view as important a strong and single position of the European legislators in supporting Ukraine's efforts in fight against Russian aggression," - emphasized Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
