Russian Carmakers Start Sales by Scrappage Program

For the delivery of a used car on deposit, the discount is 50 thousand rubles, the sale under the scheme "trade-in" - 40 thousand rubles. For September 9th, customers received the first 13 cars, five of them by "trade in". Also for one day it was able to sign a contract for the purchase of 124 cars; 204 cars were reserved.

According to our estimates, it will not only maintain the current level of sales, but it will also help to overcome the negative market trend by boosting demand for the products of AvtoVAZ, "- said the president of AvtoVAZ, Bo Inge Andersson.
Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant plans to sell at least 17,000 cars in the IV quarter of 2014 by the recycling program launched and parc renewal, said the CEO of "Sollers", Vadim Shvetsov. "It will allow us to increase 1.5 times the sales of UAZ cars compared to III quarter and to provide the full production load of Ulyanovsk automobile plant by the end of this year", - said the head of "Sollers". According to him, the declared by UAZ recycling program and parc renewal will be implemented in the period from September 1st to December 31st 2014. “Options of program are agreed with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and the launch of this program was made possible by a set of measures to support the Russian auto industry, which implements this year the Russian government", - said Mr. Shvetsov.
KAMAZ intends to sell more than 5500 trucks by recycling program. Since the announcement of car scrappage program, several thousand people applied to KAMAZ and dealerships with the wish to buy a vehicle. One of Moscow dealers has already ordered 670 of KAMAZ vehicles by the recycling program. First deliveries of truck to customers by recycling program KAMAZ will begin the next week. Totally the orders were received for more than 5,000 trucks.
General Director of KAMAZ, Sergey Kogoghin, notes that a significant number of orders shows about timeliness of recycling program. "We are confident in the success of this program.
