OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2014. The government today approved a regulation, under which financial aid will be granted to agricultural producers who suffered losses in the wake of the import restrictions imposed by Russia.

Agriculture and Food Minister Vasile Bumacov said the compensation would amount to 146 million lei.

Bumacov Vasile stressed that the value of the financial support will be of 1.2 lei per kilogram of plums sold by 15 September. Up to 1.5 lei will be awarded for each kilogram of apples sold till 30 September.

The files may be submitted until 15 October to the special committees which will be set up by local authorities.
