OREANDA-NEWS. On September 10, 2014 in accordance with the resolution of the administration of Murmansk the Murmanskaya CHPP - the largest enterprise in the heating system of the city - has begun the heating season.

- Equipment of the plant is set to the operating parameters, but the connection of residential properties will be executed by managing companies and Housing Cooperatives when house grids are ready - said Stanislav Nazarov, Executive Director of JSC Murmanskaya CHPP. - As a rule, the houses are connected to heating in stages, this process takes from 7 to 10 days.

During the interheating period repairs of 11 steam and hot water boilers were carried out at all three sources of heat supply of the Murmanskaya CHPP. After the air pressure and other tests of the heating grids the most worn out parts of the city lines were selected: this year 850 meters of heat pipeline were replaced on Schmidt Street, Komsomolskaya Street and Karl Marx Street.

The key task in ensuring that uninterrupted heat supply in the coming heating season remains the reduction of consumer debt. The debt of MC and Housing Cooperatives of Murmansk for heat energy is RUB 2.1 billion, 66% of consumers were transferred to direct payments.
