OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2014. The company paid administrative fines imposed by North Ossetia OFAS – nearly 1.4 million RUB.

The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Republic of North Ossetia (North Ossetia OFAS) found that “Sevkavkazenergo” OJSC violated Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” (abusing market dominance).

The company notified consumers that they must pay debts for electric power while customers did not have arrears exceeding three monthly utility payments. For 1.5 years the company calculated payments for electric power based on consumption norms in spite of installed individual metering devices.

In view of the committed administrative violations and circumstance aggravating as well as mitigating administrative liability, North Ossetia OFAS fined “Sevkavkazenergo” OJSC 650,000 RUB and 737,500 RUB.
