OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2014. “AutoKrAZ” provides the vehicles with new Ford and Toyota engines at the request of the National Guard.

The KrAZ-Spartan armored vehicle is equipped with turbocharged diesel V8 engine rated at 300hp at 2 800 RPM from Ford. Engine displacement is 6.7l. The KrAZ–Cougar armored vehicle is provided with 4.0l engine. This is a V6 petrol engine rated at 218hp at 4,600 RPM.

Engines from these world known manufacturers reliable and trouble-free in operation, engine start is guaranteed under any extreme weather conditions. Good engine performance and high engine torque ensure high mobility and excellent dynamics. Top speed is as high as 110 km/h.
