Sales of Internet Access in Moldova Grows 18,4% in 1H
OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2014. The aggregate income all the three mobile providers received from the sale of the mobile Internet devoted access grew 8.5% to MDL 149.3 million, the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technologies says.
In particular, the incomes of Orange Moldova grew 1.1% to MDL 54.9 million; the incomes of Moldcell increased 2% to MDL 50.5 million; those of Moldtelecom (the UNITE brand) increased 33.7% to MDL 38.6 million.
At the same time, the average revenue per user (ARPU) declined by 20.6% to MDL 89.1. As of the end of the first half of 2014, the shares of the three providers were as follows: Orange Moldova – 38.1%, Moldcell – 35.1% and Moldtelecom – 26.8%
