OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2014. Yaroslavl Engine Plant (OJSC Avtodiesel) Board of Directors has appointed Andrey Matyushin, formerly the CEO of Zavolzhie Engine Plant (ZMZ), as the General Director.

Andrey Matyushin graduated from Automotive Department of Nizhniy Novgorod State Technical University majoring in internal combustion engines, holds an MBA degree.  From 1997 and until the new appointment Andrey Matyushin worked at Zavolzhie Engine Plant, a part of Sollers Group. During his career with that company he rose through the ranks from a process engineer to a top manager and from 2012 until the present moment he worked as the General Director of ZMZ.

His current highest priority task is to increase the production efficiency and expand the customer base in the situation of drastic commercial vehicle market shrinkage. Andrey Matyushin will supervise the continued development of YAMZ engines model range including building a complete lineup of Euro-5 compliant engines, launching the production of YAMZ-530 natural gas engines and other projects. We will also continue to place a special emphasis on training and professional development programs that are necessary to keep the company competitive in the long term".
