Customs Revenues Make 80% of Revenues of Budget of Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2014. During the presentation of the progress in the work of customs authorities, held on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the Customs service of Moldova, it was noted that customs plays a decisive role in the ensuring budget revenues.
Over the last 5 years CS increased by 89% the amount of customs revenues up 14.6 billion lei in 2013; however, in the recent years the administrative expenses of the service has decreased, customs clearance procedures and maintenance of economic agents have accelerated, quality management system ISO were implemented. Customs procedures were facilitated and CS has become a modern institution that meets the expectations of the business community.
In addition, economic agents with a high level of confidence TC has provided a number of benefits: currently 70 of the largest in Moldova economic agents use a facilitated system of customs procedures, and 15% of all customs declarations are processed in facilitated mode. In 2013, the Customs service has launched a procedure of electronic customs Declaration and now complies with the European concept of e-customs, e-customs). Currently, about 30% of export declarations are processed in a paperless version though initially in 2014 it is planned to increase this index up to 10%.
It should be noted that more than 90% of export customs declarations are processed in the "green corridor". Thus CS contributes to simplification of the export of the Moldovan goods. In addition, for the last 6 years has reduced the time for processing of one customs declaration from 40 to 20 minutes.
