Plenary session of the Senate adopted the law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to ensure transit of cargo / special cargo through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan in connection with the participation of the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom in international efforts to stabilize and rebuild Afghanistan".

"April 15, in accordance with the arrangements at the highest level, an agreement was signed between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to ensure transit of cargo / special cargo through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan", said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yerzhan Ashikbayev presenting the bill.

According to his words, the agreement defines the procedure for the transit by rail and by sea cargo / special cargo of the UK through the territory of Kazakhstan.
