OREANDA-NEWS. Cigarette output in Belarus grew 2.7% on the year in January-July 2014 to 20.6 billion units, according to the National Statistics Committee (Belstat).

In July alone cigarette output stood at 3.3 billion units, up 3.3% year on year; up 3.3% month on month.

Cigarette inventories stood at 2.2 billion units as of August 1, 2014 (84.4% of the average monthly output), down 1% on the month.

Belarus' retail tobacco prices grew 40.3% on the year in January-July 2014. In July alone, tobacco prices grew 0.3% on the month, up 25% year on year.
