OREANDA-NEWS. On 3 September 2014, a contract was signed by Tallinna Teede AS - the subsidiary of AS Merko Ehitus Eesti, part of AS Merko Ehitus group - and Estonian Road Administration for the reconstruction works of E20 main road Tallinn-Narva Kodasoo-L„tsna sections.

Under the contract, Tallinna Teede AS carries out the reconstruction works of road No 1 (E20) Tallinn-Narva Kodasoo-L„tsna sections (30.9 to 65.0 km) on the second direction (Narva-Tallinn). The works include strengthening existing base, reconstruction of the pavement and replacing existing traffic signs. Additionally, Kiiu and Kodasoo overpasses will be renovated and the milled-off asphalt left over from the road reconstruction works, will be used for reconstruction of local roads with gravel pavement.

The value of the contract without the clientЃLs reserve is 5.7 million euros, plus value added tax. The works are scheduled to start in September 2014 and to complete in September 2015.

Tallinna Teede AS performs project management and provides workforce for all road maintenance countrywide, builds road structures and the associated infrastructure, performs maintenance repair, road surface dressing and provides road maintenance services. The company also produces different mixtures in its own asphalt plant. AS Merko Ehitus Eesti holds a 100% interest in Tallinna Teede AS.
