OREANDA-NEWS. September 03, 2014. In the reporting period, the losses were reported y 5 of 16 insurers of Moldova, the National Commission on Financial Market informs.

The total assets of insurance companies were MDL 1 billion 369.3 million as of the end of the reporting period, up 1.7% as compared with the same period of the past year, the net assets were MDL 1 billion 053.2 million, down 11.7%, the aggregate equity capital being MDL 484.5 million, 2.7% down.

The total technical reserves were MDL 1.07 billion, up 13.8%, the disposable solvency margin making MDL 627.99 million, up 6.9%. The liquidity factor varies from 1.1% (Transelit) to 15.6% (Galas).

In January-June 2014, insurance companies of Moldova collected premiums amounting to MDL 575.77 million, up 0.7%, and paid indemnifications at an amount of MDL 278.93 million, up 41.8%. Reinsurance was allotted to MDL 98.26 million.
