OREANDA-NEWS. September 03, 2014. As it was informed in the National Bureau of statistics, at the expense of own funds of population in January-June 2014 704 individual houses with a total area of 95,5 thousand square meters were built and commissioned, which is 21.7% less than at the same period of 2013.

It made up 75.5% of the total volume of the housing commissioned in the whole country in the first half of 2014. In urban areas of Moldova in January-June 2014 785 individual houses with a total area of 88,8 thousand square meters were commissioned, which is 7,8% less compared to the same period of the last year. In rural areas 314 housing objects with the area of 37.7 thousand square meters, or 11.9% less in comparison with the same period of 2013 were put into operation.

In total, the share of housing commissioned in the urban areas increased from 69.2% in the first half of 2013 to 70.2% in the first half of 2014. The share of housing in the rural areas decreased from 30.8% to 29.8%. At the same time, at the regional level, the largest volume of new housing was registered in Chisinau, where in January-June was commissioned 680 new apartments with a total area of 79,2 thousand square meters (62.6 per cent of the total in the country), which is 20.5% less than at the same period of 2013.

In the Northern region of the country 140 new apartments with a total area of 15.8 thousand square meters (+0,3%), in the Central - 158 apartments with an area of 16.7 thousand square meters (+18.5 percent), in the South- 60 apartments with an area of 7.5 thousand square meters (+52%) and ATO Gagauzia- 61 apartment with an area of 7.3 thousand square meters (+55,5%) were commissioned.
