Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Sever Was at Fault Twice
OREANDA-NEWS. September 02, 2014. Leninsky City Court, Tyumen, ruled that “Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Sever” OJSC shall pay 375,000 RUB as an administrative fine instead of 125,000 RUB.
The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) in the Tyumen region (Tyumen OFAS Russia) held “Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Sever” OJSC administratively liable and fined the company 125,000 RUB for failure to observe the law on energy efficiency (No. 261 - FZ).
The gas company failed to send offers to owners of dachas and garden cottages and premises and persons responsible for apartment blocks maintenance within the designated period on equipping metering devices of energy resources.
However, a unit of the gas monopolist failed to timely pay the fine imposed by the antimonopoly body and filed a claim against the decision of Tyumen OFAS Russia first to a Justice of the Peace and then Leninsky City Court, Tyumen.
Both instances supported OFAS and obligated “Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Sever” OJSC to pay a double fine.
